our Story

The Stand Fast seed was planted in my heart as a young man in awe of the beauty of the natural world and how it functions. I was born with a love for beef cattle and sought a way to combine my love for cattle with my love of the wilderness. This led to an internship with the Elzinga family of Alderspring Ranch in May, ID for which I am forever grateful.

In the fall of 2006, I moved back home to Fredonia, NY and purchased 30 bred Black Angus cows with calves on their side. Rachel and I were married in 2007 and were blessed with a son (Micah) in 2009. We purchased an abandoned farm in 2011 and have been working diligently to reclaim the pasture while leaving space for the wild flora and fauna that grace our land. You can learn more about this on our conservation page. It is a continuing journey for us and we thank the family and friends who have lent a helping hand. A special thanks to my brother Randy, as he has worked alongside me from the start.

We also thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the strength He has given along the way to navigate the waters of business ownership and farming difficulties.

We specialize in wholesale to businesses and large quantity sales to individuals because we can offer the greatest value to our customers by keeping these prices lower on a unit basis. We butcher monthly and take orders year round. Our beef is also available at Lexington Food Co-op in Buffalo, NY. You can also purchase our products in our online store!
